Business Analyst
Are you a sharp and intuitive Business Analyst with experience in accounting and finance?
The Endowment and Investment Accounting System (EIAS) is a complex financial application that manages fund & investment accounting for over $50 billion in investments. EIAS data is used by various departments (Finance Office, Treasurer's Office, Budget Office, Office of Loan Programs and Human Resources), and other affiliated organizations. About 7000+ financial journals per year are recorded in the EIAS general ledger. The system maintains and calculates various pool investments, distribution of STIP income, loans to campuses and various other functions related to the client's financial activities. EIAS is a major tool used to implement financial strategies.
Responsibilities include:
1. Analyze current business processes by understanding the current process flow
2. Identify relationships between different processes and functions
3. Prepare process flow diagrams
4. Write high level documentation for the business functions for different modules based on the new revamped business process.
5. Document gaps between the vendor provided software and the business processes.
6. Develop software change requirements based on gap analysis.

Requirements:
-Bachelors Degree in Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 years demonstrated success in business analysis in large, complex business settings or university/college setting using best practice and standard business analyst's tools and techniques.
Familiarity with financial systems with knowledge of accounting principles
Ability to create process and data flow diagrams
Proven strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with multi-functional/cross-functional teams and varying levels of management.
Experience writing Use cases, developing swim lanes and business process flows.
Familiarity with one or more financial investment strategies

Pay Rate: 40.00 - 55.00 Hourly DOE
