Director, Human Resources (Sports Management/Finance/Admin)

Description

The Human Resources Director is responsible for managing and executing activites associated in employment, on-boarding, employee relations, compensation. Collaborates and works with coalition HR managers in traning and development, benefits and employee programs and talent acquisition to support strategies. Establish control-related standards and procedures.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Years of Related Professional Experience: 10+.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree. Ten plus years of progressive leadership experience in managing Human Resources functions. Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred. Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement, preferred.

    Skills:

  • Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation,
    organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety,
    and training and development.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Human Resources staff members.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant on the executive
    management team that provides collaborative leadership and direction.
  • Strong technical knowledge of employment laws and practices.
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and
    other Human Resources programs.
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Staff: Manages the activities of assigned HR staff team members setting priorities, directing projects and executing to objectives. Identifies staff development and training needs of the assigned team members. Provides ongoing performance expectations in accordance to the company's performance management system. Partners with coalition HR management to support and execute HR strategies around Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Infrastructure Management and Culture Management.
  • Infrastructure: Manages HR operations for assigned brand. Prepares communicates and ensures compliance to policies and practices. Keeps abreast of HR policies and governmental laws and regulations.Directs activities in the classification of positions, preparation of job specifications, job analysis, organization structure, compensation studies and workforce planning. Directs the staff in the processing of personnel transactions, timekeeping, payrolls, personnel record keeping and overall personnel administration. Provides project support for special projects. Provides direction to management on conducting investigations and resolving employee relations issues and employee allegations in a timely manner.
  • Culture Management: Works and collaborates with coalition employee benefits and programs manager to support in the implementation of key initiatives. Collaborates with assigned team members on workers comp and benefits issues and initiatives.
  • Talent Acquisition: Works and collaborates with coalition recruitment manager to support strategies in the acquisition of Top Talent for the organization. Handles all processes associated with offer to onboarding. Drives and promotes the brand's onboarding program.
  • Partners with loss prevention and safety management teams to support programs and policies.
