Manager of Allocation
The Director of Allocation is responsible for driving revenue and profit growth through creative and innovative inventory management strategies for more than one brand. This position reports into the Sr. Director of Allocation and Store Planning and has responsibility for two or more direct reports. Core responsibilities include: inventory forecast management and communication; development of allocation strategies (newline releases and fashion and basics replenishment) that support and relate to business priorities and underlying financial and/or merchandising strategies; regulation of order management and packing strategies to optimize financial performance across size, product classifications, and locations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a can-do approach to maintain and optimize existing processes. S/he will seek out solutions to new business challenges or identify and capitalize on new found business opportunities. The Director of Allocation will develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional partners- DC Operations, Store Operations, Planning, Merchandising, Production, Visual Merchandising and other cross functional teams. This person will collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices, and develop systems knowledge, as well as manage and develop the allocation team.
