Job Summary: The Materials Management Technician is responsible for the procurement and management of medical cylinder gases. The overall objective will be to provide a constant, cost-effective flow of medical gases supplies and equipment to meet the clinical requirement. Minor equipment and furniture moves. Assist in the daily transfer of Medical Records files between incumbent will work in a complex purchasing, materials management system where the incumbent must be able to explain the organization''s purchasing policies and procedures. Job Requirements: Education:High school graduate or equivalent. Associate degree with coursework in business management, inventory control, receiving and warehousing or a related field preferred. Experience: Two to three year verifiable experiences in the purchasing, warehousing, equipment transporting, and/or materials management in a hospital environment preferred. Possess fundamental knowledge of Materials Management information system and it application. Require excellent interpersonal communications/customer service skills. Physical Requirements: Sit: Up to 3 hours/day Stand/Walk: 6-8 hours Bend/Stoop: Up to 6 hours Reach: Up to 6 hours Rep Use of UE: Up to 6 hours Lift/Push/Pull: 50 lbs, over 50# with assistance or equipment This job requires the ability to hear alarms, clients and/or instruction.
