PROJECT MANAGER
The Project Manager defines and coordinates all requirements to implement new projects within the IT Services department. The Project Manager will coordinate resources from all areas within IT Services and external resources (ABM or consultant) required to accomplish the full life cycle of an approved project, from inception to completion.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, JOB KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: * Strong Business and IT acumen a must * Experience working as a Project Manager in a Fortune 500 company desired * Familiarity with SOX required * Comprehensive knowledge of PMI / PMBOK and SDLC methodologies is a must * MS Project experience required - Project Server desired * Experience managing projects using Agile methodologies * Experience managing projects >$1M * Must be able to effectively manage projects with remote teams * Work with IT executives and functional business leaders to develop project scope and success criteria * Work closely with both business and IT PMO offices to develop detailed project plans * Develop and manage project budgets * Create training programs for newly implemented systems / processes * Develop and maintain productive working relationships with project sponsors and key end user groups * Assess alternative system approaches for workability and economic feasibility * Ability to develop and improve internal procedures that may be advantageous to the ABM Enterprise as part of the project scope * Ability to recognize and define best practices and procedures in order to obtain optimal service from new product implementations * Perform post implementation product satisfaction reviews and process change compliance audits * Provide remediation plan for any post production functionality gaps with target user group * Ensure compliance with ABM Enterprise stated policies and procedures * Resolve gaps between end user requirement and compliance with stated policy and procedures. Define cross over points between IT functional areas and coordinate resources to complete project. Estimate staff resources, user personnel, external consultants and technical support and hardware required to complete the project * Communicate 'off' schedule and cost projects to management immediately with remediation plan * Prepare regular management project progress reports * Chair weekly Group Meetings as required * Work with resource managers to obtain resource commitments for your plan * Manage on loan resources as needed to complete project * Define and implement process change as needed to complete project goals * Routine contact with all levels of Senior and mid-level Management within the ABM Enterprise and IT Services EDUCATION/TRAINING: * BS or BA college degree highly recommended * PMP certification or equivalent experience required - PgMP desired JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: * 8-10 years project management skills required * 3 -5 years staff supervision skills required * Previous Application, Systems or Business Analyst experience is a plus * MS Project experience required - Project Server experience desired * Familiarity with the following is a plus: * MS SharePoint * JD Edwards * Oracle Business Intelligence * Corrigo Work Order System * .net Web Development Efforts LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION/WRITING REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to work with personnel with varying technical abilities * Excellent oral and written communication skills ABM IS AN EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY/AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER (M/F/V/D)
