R & D Manager
Lead an R&D team of 10 engineers, technicians and designers to develop disposable products for high volume access and resection franchise. Bring multiple products to market in the next 12-24 months, managing a group of projects from idea to launch. Work with Stryker manufacturing locations and outside vendors to ensure design for manufacturability, performance and cost objectives are met. Develop the engineers on the team technically and professionally, and maintain a high level of engagement.
Qualifications/Work Experience
(5) years experience working as an engineer on successful product development efforts. Two (2) years of management responsibility. Specific experience in R & D, Quality, and/ or Operations is preferred. Basic skills - Time management, project management, reports and budget, stress management, conflict management, re-engineering, customer service, ISO, Windows, advanced computer, ERP, statistics, manufacturing process, metrology, auditing, mechanical support, blue print reading, financial systems
Education and/or Special Training
Undergraduate degree in Engineering or with equivalent schooling in statistics, mech. of materials, fatigue and stress analysis, and calculus. MS/MBA preferred.
