Description
Oversees the planning process for all quarter-end and year-end SEC filing documents. Documents the appropriate policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely SEC reporting. Coordinates company-wide communication regarding business unit responsibilities regarding SEC reporting. Compiles business unit information into complete SEC filing documents. Coordinates the Company’s Disclosure Committee meetings. Drafts 1934 Act SEC filing documents, as necessary.
Implements and maintains procedures to ensure timely accumulation of information necessary for financial reporting functions.
Maintains current awareness and documentation of compliance with all financial statement disclosure requirements.
Ensures the accuracy and completeness of the Company’s internal financial reporting system.
Maintains a financial reporting calendar.
Manages the preparation of the quarterly press release financial information in a timely fashion.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, CPA required
3-5 years of public accounting experience servicing the banking industry.
Big 4 public accounting experience, preferably with a strong background in FAS 133, 52, 91, 13, and 157.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong analytical, leadership, organizational and problem resolution skills, ability to work with diverse groups
Excellent verbal and written communication required
Proactive approach and strong analytical skills with ability to research and simplify complex situations
