The Bay Area's Sports Leader is looking for Sports Sales Representatives. We are one of the top sports talk radio stations in the country, and have a format monopoly in the Northern California region. This means that clients are eager to advertise with us - on the air, on our station web site, and on our web broadcast stream.
Our Sales Representatives have the ability to offer exposure and association with some of the most prominent sports teams in the country - the San Francisco Giants, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Golden State Warriors.
These affiliations provide our Sales Representatives with the ability to reach a wide array of prospects - even those that traditionally don't use radio. We have great ratings with the money demographic groups and are a "must" on most institutional advertising buying lists.
Our training system for new Sales Representatives is among the strongest in the market. In this position you would be asked to solicit, present and negotiate sports sponsorships (San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Golden State Warriors), station events, airtime and integrated promotions. Candidates must have the ability and desire to develop new business, strong communication skills and previous sales experience.
You will be required to meet deadlines and sales goals and work effectively with other station departments.
You will be provided with training including: Media sales knowledge, including media specific software. Special Event selling (Giants Fan Fest, Bridge To Bridge Run, etc). Non-traditional and web based sales, including streaming.
Qualifications:
Two years outside sales experience Two years of sales media experience Business, Marketing, or Broadcast Degree is a plus Complete MS Office proficiency required Must have a valid driver's license and own a personal car
