As a Staff Linux Administrator, your primary role will be to support our global EDA compute environment, including compute servers, license management, data replication, virtualization, and storage. This will include managing application and IP updates to support ASIC chip development, as well as installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software on a variety of platforms to include Linux, UNIX and Windows servers in an engineering environment. The successful candidate for this role will have strong exposure to an ASIC development environment, and exceptional skills with varied flavors of Linux, specifically RedHat. This role will require a high level of interaction with the IT and engineering teams so your ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively will also be key. Your ability to proactively manage the efficiency and capabilities of our engineering servers coupled with your ability to quickly diagnose and solve problems that arise will put you at the top of our list. Experience with Cisco networking equipment and Network Appliance filers, and Platform LSF will also add to your candidacy.
