Our client located in the southeastern US, is an innovative SaaS company who has launched an industry changing relationship management platform geared for the service industry and is seeking a Vice President of Marketing.

The Opportunity:

The Vice President of Marketing will oversee, create and drive the Marketing Strategy and personally execute the marketing programs while capitalizing on the company’s unique value offering in the service industry marketplace. As a key executive team member, this individual will also help shape the company’s corporate strategy. The VP of Marketing will be responsible for evangelizing the company’s brand through a combination of strategic, product and field marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

Marketing 2.0



  • Define, analyze and chart the strategy for successfully executing Marketing 2.0 initiatives
  • Partner with Sales to strategically align Sales 2.0 and Marketing 2.0 initiatives


Team Management



  • Mentor and grow existing marketing team
  • Recruit, train and manage product marketing and field marketing teams


Demand Generation



  • Create and execute successful lead generation programs to drive demand
  • Generate qualified sales-ready leads by driving traffic to the website to optimize suspect and prospect conversion rates
  • Work with the Customer Success Department to measure adoption, track, and manage churn


Brand Awareness



  • Expand existing social networking programs using leading social networking vehicles including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Blogs and other social technologies


Marketing Communications



  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications to support external communications and conference planning
  • Possess excellent writing skills to create unique marketing copy for both online and hardcopy materials
  • Create messaging content to be used during the customer’s internal roll-out of the company’s solution, as well as during the ongoing partnerships


Market Analysis



  • Build intuitive and in-depth market analysis and competitive analysis documents
  • Instrument, measure, analyze and optimize all requisite metrics for website across all Lead Life Cycle Management systems and processes


Other



  • Provide internal training to departments to keep all stakeholders in synch


Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or similar concentration; Masters degree is preferred
  • 10+ years of extensive experience working in the software-as-a-service space
  • Exposure to startup and emerging growth company environments is a significant advantage
  • Ability to develop successful online marketing campaigns that deliver quantifiable results using industry standard quantity and quality metrics
  • Proven track record of success in the execution of both traditional corporate marketing, Marketing 2.0 and social marketing campaigns
  • Experience developing effective email campaigns, expanding social networking footprints, writing marketing copy, executing extensive market research, and developing innovative content
  • Direct management and leadership experience managing agile marketing teams
  • Excellent track record of driving lead generation for a direct sales force
  • The successful candidate will have skills and experience in some or all of the following areas: Graphic design, Video production, Development of online demos in Flash or other media, Web Programming, and/or Skills with CreativeSuite, MS Office, SalesForce and Marketo
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make recommendations to the business stakeholders in a structured, professional  manner
  • High level of personal energy to drive projects to completion and sustain productivity
  • Strong communication skills and ability to form collaborative relationships with sales, partners, and marketing colleagues
